Weekly E-Update

Autumn Splendor

It's officially fall and that means the market is brimming with just-picked apples in shades of red and gold, and jugs of fresh-pressed cider, ready to sip by the fire. Squash and fall greens are plentiful and there is plenty of inspiration for autumn decorating. Naturally transform your home from summer to fall with beautiful ornamental pumpkins and gourds, and vibrant farm-fresh bouquets. It's time to think about making hearty soups, stews and casseroles and enjoying a crusty loaf of wood-fired bread.

Join us tomorrow and cozy up with a hot cup of Fieldstone coffee, and some crepes or a breakfast sandwich or apple danish. Enjoy live music from 10am-noon with Not for Coltrane, and visit with the Easton Public Library. We're now taking orders for EFM hoodies so stop by the INFO tent to place your order. Most importantly, shop the market and stock up on fresh, local finds for the week ahead. Our farmers can't wait to see you!

Cooking with the Seasons:
Butternut Squash

Black Bean & Butternut Squash Burritos
"These burritos have a kick of heat to them (that you can control yourself) and a light sweetness thanks to the butternut squash. The filling is so good I found myself eating it on its own. Use it to sprinkle on salads or as a dip for crackers in addition to making burritos. You could also try using sweet potato or pumpkin as a way to change up the butternut filling."  -from Oh She Glows

WHAT'S FRESH THIS WEEK...

Purely Farm
Talkin' Turkey...

Purely Farm will feature a fresh harvest of Purely Turkey this weekend in a variety of retail cuts. Farmers Marc and Joanna not only raise these birds from day old poults out on pasture, they process all of their poultry themselves. Processing the birds in small batches on the farm allows the Michini's to ensure the quality and high standards they believe their "farm families" deserve.  Stop by and check out their  ground turkey,  boneless turkey breasts and turkey tenderloins. Purely will also be fully stocked in their pasture-raised pork!

As a small family run farm, Purely Farm guarantees every package of meat that bears their label has been raised and cared for by the Michini's themselves. No employees, no animals purchased from other farms, no surprises...if they don't raise it, they won't sell it!  Strangely affordable and wildly delicious, treat your family right with their pasture-raised meats.
