The First Day Of Fall!

The crisp air this week is starting to blow in one of our favorite seasons at the Co-op. Soon the colors will be all over the trees, our wardrobes will change to warmer weights and the foods available at the store will take on that Fall flavor. The Co-op's produce lead, Reina Apraez, is  absolutely in love with New York State's autumn harvests and all of her favorite recipes! 

Growing up in Central New York, she has had her share of hayrides through the local orchards to pick out the most glorious, perfect apples possible.  Now, she's thrilled to be working with her favorite farms to bring only apples to the Co-op that meet her high, personal standard. Lucky for us Co-op shoppers.

A sign of Fall is when Assistant Manager, Scott Pierson, 

Soup Pot Looks Good

starts dusting off the soup pot and is going through the supplier order books to find just the right soup combinations for Co-op shoppers to enjoy as the cooler days come upon us. Scott will also be looking over his artisan cheese department in the Deli section to stock those aged  cheeses, blue cheese and soft cheeses that go so well on a Fall cheese board.

 

Gabriel Smith, Grocery Lead, is wanting Co-op members and shoppers to get excited about the Fall season and use the items available in the Co-op to make hearty warming dishes. They not only warm your body but also produce a warming atmosphere in your home.
