In order to decrease the amount of emails we send to your inbox, we are going to try to limit the amount of notifications we send out. The weekly newsletter will include all information and communications to the entire school including updates, events, and notices. Please be aware that the newsletter will continue to be emailed every Thursday. We encourage you to add the Akiva calendar to your calendar where all school events are posted. The calendar and newsletters can also be accessed on our website.

After School Clubs - Due September 21
We are pleased to announce that we will once again offer after school activities for students in Kindergarten through Grade 9 this year. The first round of clubs will begin the week of September 26th.
Please send completed form and  payment  to the office by September 21.

We are looking for donations/sponsorship of Yoga Mats. If you are interested please let the office know.
Order Rosh Hashana Cards - Due September 18
The order form for Rosh Hashana cards is now available. Credit card payments can be made by clicking  here.
 
It is a great way to spread good wishes for the new year while supporting local Jewish education.
 
Please note the deadline for card orders is September 18.

UJA Cellathon
Akiva will be participating in a UJA cellathon on ______(waiting for response) at the JCC. We are looking for volunteers to help out for even part of the time. It is very important that we show our support and help make phone calls for one of the largest sources of funding for our school. If you can help or can send a friend or relative please let the office know. If every family could send one representative we can make it a very effective evening.
Akiva Community Garage Sale Spring 2017   
Akiva Academy will be hosting a community garage sale in Spring 2017. Please start saving your gently used sports equipment and children's items (no clothing/small toys please). All proceeds will go towards Akiva Academy. For more information please contact Caroline Linetsky at [email protected].

Introducing Zumba® with A&A Fitness at the Akiva Academy Gymnasium!!  Join Andrea Dawe and Andre Duberry for a team-taught high energy Zumba® fitness class!!  No experience necessary - just come ready to dance, let loose, get fit and have FUN!  Fall Session runs Wednesdays Sept. 21 through Dec. 14th (13 classes).  SALE on the Fall Session on NOW: $120 for the session (Price increases to $130 on Sept. 18th).  Drop-in available $15.
