President's Corner

Greetings - fellow Kiwanians - I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We have Bob Dalrymple, Bank of the West joining us this Friday, as you may know. This is a great time to invite others to one of our meetings. They can feel free to come to hear our speaker and/or pick up a Join Us brochure, either way is fine. Summer's over and many are getting back into the swing of things. This is a great time of year to join a civic club  - one, like ours - Kiwanis Club of Omaha. Think of five people that you can invite to Friday's meeting. Now, send out or call them to let them know you're inviting them to check us out. It's not hard - almost everyone that joins a club say they did so, first of all, because they were invited. So, let's invite. Let's be a positive impact on our community and on the people around us. Have a great week. See you Friday!

LAST MEETING

Brad Ashford

Last Friday, we welcomed Rep. Brad Ashford to our lunch meeting. Rep. Ashford spoke about his strong belief in building relationships with those you work with and this has been his goal in Washington. He wants to find common ground and compromise with his fellow elected officials. He was proud to tell us about his work on behalf of the VA  hospital here in Omaha and was eager to answer questions.
