September IDEAS & INFO Luncheon:
Infographics-Data and Creative Storytelling

Join us for the first IDEAS INFO Luncheon of the fall, where Dr. Taj Carson of Carson Research Consulting will offer best practices for making creative data visualizations.  According to nonprofit executive and digital strategist Debra Askanase, here are five ways nonprofits can use Infographics:
1. Show the need for a program.
2. Illustrate the data from a report.
3. Move people to action.
4. Depict donation impact.
5. Outline impact of services.

Did You Know.....
If you solicit contributions in Maryland, you must be registered as a charitable organization - visit the Maryland Secretary of State's Charitable Division website.

Fundraising in other states:  Before soliciting in other states, research the applicable state laws.  Some states do not require registration, and other states allow nonprofits to seek an exemption, if funds raised are not significant (i.e. under $25,000).

One of the new benefits of membership in Nonprofit PGC is access to a website that provides current information on regulations nationwide regarding registration as a charitable organization.
