This years Southwest Regionals to be held with the Ferrigno Legacy
The Ferrigno Legacy welcomes the USA POWERLIFTING SOUTHWEST REGIONALS & FERRIGNO LEGACY OPEN! Events will take place at Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Mirage, California during the day on October 30, 2016. The events will include open, teen and master's divisions for men & women. Lifts will include bench press, squat and deadlift. This intense event will also include the industry's best known powerlifting vendors and will no doubt be entertaining and inspiring for everyone in attendance.

USA Powerlifting
USA Powerlifting (formerly American Drug Free Powerlifting Association, Inc.) is the leading powerlifting organization in the United States. USA Powerlifting is a member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF), the governing body of powerlifting internationally. The IPF is comprised of member federations of 100+ countries on six continents. USA Powerlifting, through its affiliation with the IPF, also sends a national team to participate in the World Games. The World Games is an international multi-sports event hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA) that falls under the patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). The event consists of official sports and demonstration sports selected from those not included in the Olympic Games. The Games are held every fourth year, following the year of the Summer Olympics.

ABOUT THE MEET
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

This is an open championship. There are no qualifying totals and/or competitions required to enter this championship. All lifters competing in the championship must be a member of USA Powerlifting. Memberships to USA Powerlifting can now be purchased on-line here 


AWARDS

Awards will be presented to all 1st - 3rd place finishers, for each weight class and division. Champion of Champions award will be presented to the best overall male and female lifters for the Championship. The overall best lifters will be determined by the Wilks formula.

ADMISSION

All spectators and coaches may enjoy the competition for an admission fee of $15.00 (first 100  tickets ) for the entire day.  Tickets available here

2016 Tentative Schedule Southwest Regionals
Saturday - Oct. 29th, 2016
  • 5:00 to 7:00 pm - Early Equipment Check 
Sunday- Oct. 30th, 2016
  • 7:00 to 8:30 am - Weigh-in/Equipment check for all Women's classes and Men's 53kg through 74kg
    • 9:00 to 1:00 pm - Commencement of lifting for the Women's classes and Men's 53kg through 74kg
    • 1:00 to 1:30 pm - Drug-testing Protocol
    • 11:30 to 12:30 pm - Weigh-in/Equipment check for the men's 83 kg through 120+ weight class
    • 1:00 to 5:00pm - Commencement of lifting for the men's 83 kg through 120+ weight class
    • 5:00 to 5:30 pm - Drug-testing Protocol
    •  5:30 pm Awards Ceremony for all  Lifting
