Annual Meeting Working Group consist of a small group of meeting attendees who are interested in a common topic and who agree to attend aligned panels and plenary sessions and to convene during the meeting for a discussion. See all 2016 Working Groups.

The nominating committee is pleased to announce the 2016 nominations  to APSA Council. Please review the nominations to council's biographies  and statement of views here.  

Enrollment in now open for the 2016-2017 MSRP Program. MSRP connects undergraduate students from under-represented backgrounds who are interested in graduate study with graduate programs interested in recruiting diverse cohorts of doctoral students. Department chairs and graduate directors can enroll their department today using their MyAPSA account. The purpose of the Fund for Latino Scholarship is to encourage and support the recruitment, retention, and promotion of Latino/a political scientists and to support research on Latino/a politics.  Learn more about the scholars.

Meet the spring class of the APSA Minority Fellowship Program (MFP). The spring cycle supports first and second year political science PhD students from underrepresented backgrounds. Read more.

The APSA Ralph Bunche Summer Institute celebrates 30 years. The occasion will be marked with an alumni roundtable highlighting the success of the program and Dr. Bunche's legacy and an anniversary reception at the 2016 Annual Meeting. Learn more.

The Centennial Center's Visiting Scholar Program provides shared workspace, internet connectivity, and library access to APSA members whose research and teaching brings them to Washington, DC. The proposed new APSA bylaws are available here and in the July issue  of PS: Political Science and Politics for member review.

These  proposed new  bylaws will be discussed and voted on at the all-member business meeting  on Thursday, September 1 at 12:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, PA during the 2016 APSA  Annual Meeting. If approved at the all-member business meeting, these  bylaws will be sent to the membership for an electronic ballot in the fall.
APSA Issues Letter to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding continued and ongoing threats to academic freedom.  Read the letter.
Other Updates
The APSA public engagement program is available to provide on-campus workshops on communicating political science to non-academic audiences. Workshops introduce the hows and whys of public engagement and discuss tips for effective communication with the media, policymakers, and the public. Discounted rates apply to APSA departmental members.
