The paving contractor is scheduled to begin forming and pouring the new concrete pavement at the intersection of Columbia and Villa on Friday, September 16th.
Starting on the date listed above, the intersection of Columbia and Villa will be CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC. The paving contractor has indicated that they will need approximately two (2) days to place forms and pour the concrete. After the concrete is poured, the pavement must cure for seven (7) days, during which time NO TRAFFIC can be driven on it.
The above work scheduled is dependent on good weather. Concrete cannot be installed if it is raining, or if the ground is saturated from recent rain. In this case, the work will be postponed until weather conditions are appropriate.
