Headed by Alberta Researcher
DR CHRIS VENNER FROM THE CROSS CANCER INSTITUTE SPEARHEADS THE LAUNCH OF THE
MYELOMA CANADA RESEARCH NETWORK NATIONAL MULTIPLE MYELOMA DATABASE
Myeloma Canada is excited to share an outstanding interview with Dr Chris Venner, Chair of the MCRN National Multiple Myeloma Database that aired on Global-TV Edmonton, this past Tuesday, September 13. Dr Venner stated "the Myeloma Canada Research Network is an organization that brings together all interested researchers and physicians across the country so we have representation for all the provinces in all major institutions.". He explained that the purpose of the database is to "provide a Canadian bent on all of the data that are out there. A lot of the things we generalize to try and estimate how well we expect patients to do is based on American data or European clinical trial data, that doesn't always reflect how patients are living with this disease [in Canada]".
