What causes wrinkles? How can I correct them?

Juvederm
Wrinkles and fine lines are a result of aging, genetics and exposure to environmental factors such as UV light and smoking.  We cannot stop the hands of time, but we can take preventive measures to slow down the aging process.  The appearance of facial fine lines and wrinkles can be reduced by adding structure and volume back to the skin.

Dr. Robinson uses a collection of fillers made from hyaluronic acid (HA).  What's interesting about HA is that it's a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume.  Hyaluronic acid diminishes with age  contributing to the formation of wrinkles and folds. 

By injecting HA's under the skin using a fine needle Dr. Robinson is able to augment, or fill, the soft tissue of the dermis-the dense inner layer of skin beneath the epidermis-to add volume and smooth wrinkles and folds with little or no downtime.

September is National Head Lice Awareness Month
It's back-to-school time - and that means peak season for head lice.

Anyone can get head lice.  It has nothing to do with cleanliness. Head lice only survive on humans and do not affect family pets.

Making matters worse this year, the vast majority of states are overrun with bugs that are resistant to common over-the-counter treatments.

In 42 out of the 48 tested states, 100 percent of lice tested have evolved to be resistant to the effects of pyrethroids and pyrethrins, the active ingredients in most OTC treatment options, according to a new report published in the Journal of Entomology.
