Meet Our Class of 2017: Mya M. McCoy

Mya Mon'e McCoy is a Putnam County High School Senior who has participated in the Early College Program since 8th grade. She is the daughter of Ms. Miranda Roberts. Mya is currently dually enrolled at Georgia College and hopes to continue her post-secondary education at Georgia College while majoring in psychology. Mya has shared her Early College experience below.

"Nothing compares to the experiences and life lessons I have acquired at Early College. Early College has gifted me with skills to help me perform in college courses, study methods to get me through tough quizzes and tests, and lastly, a never ending unit of teachers and students who will gladly help with any problems I may have. Early College has given me a chance to step out of my comfort zone by providing me with chances to speak in front of audiences, by encouraging all of my ideas, and by celebrating with me as I achieved my goals. This is a challenging and very demanding program that only a few have successfully completed, but when students complete this program, they have forever sealed themselves into our Early College Family."
