For the First time in Arizona
"Rudraksha Shivling"
@ Ekta Mandir
The 7000+ Rudraksha Shivling created by our own
"Kamlesh Patel and Kshitij Chitania" will be kept open for 15 days for the devotees to have 'darshan' starting from Last Sravan Monday on August 29, 2016.
Rudraksha beads
, meaning "tear drops of Shiva" in Sanskrit, is a seed traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism. Sacred rudraksha beads are made from the seeds of the Rudraksha tree (Elaeocarpus ganitrus) and according to ancient Vedic texts, these beads are endowed with cosmic powers to elevate the soul and assist on the path of ascension.
Also according to Vedic Scriptures, Lord Shiva once went into deep meditation for the well being of all living creatures. When he woke, he opened his eyes and tears of compassion fell to the earth. These tears took the form of seeds to assist humanity in our healing. The dry seed from the Rudraksha tree form the rudraksha beads.
"In the Puranas, a lot of importance has been given to the rudraksh, which inspired Batuk Vyas, a narrator of Shiva Purana Katha and an expert on Rudraksha to arrange them into the shape of a lingam. to promote devotion towards Lord Shiva and also creating awareness about the health benefits of the rudraksh," Mr Vyas is claimed to have set a record of sorts by making world's highest Rudraksha lingam
and the temple authorities in India have applied for Limca Book of World Records certificate.
