In an effort to update you on the temporary closure of the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, we are pleased to share that we anticipate reopening the garden early next week. In addition, we do not anticipate any further closings of the garden.
The closure has provided us the opportunity to remove plants (such as bromeliads) that carry water and can potentially lead to breeding of mosquitoes. We strongly urge everyone to also consider removing bromeliads from their personal landscaping.
During this week's closure, the City and County have worked together to aggressively inspect and treat mosquitoes. Fortunately, this closure did not affect any groups visiting the garden, and we are grateful to the community for supporting us as we took the time to ensure the safety of all by treating this area.
