SNHBA SUPPORTS 'FIX OUR ROADS' BALLOT QUESTION
The SNHBA board of directors recently voted to support "Fix our Roads" - Question 5, which will be on the ballot in November.
Question 5 asks voters to continue fuel revenue indexing for 10 years. It's estimated that the increase will be less than 2 cents per gallon in first few years, and never increase more than 4 cents per gallon in any year.
The goal is to raise the funds needed to continue improving the roads and highways throughout Clark County, improve road safety, reduce commuting times and traffic congestion and continue maintenance of existing roads and highways.
Currently, the county faces an increasing transportation funding shortfall to keep pace with the demands of a growing community.
SNHBA asks its members to vote yes on Question 5.
