Kick off our 175th Anniversary year with a stirring and joyful Shabbat service for all generations. Join us after services for dancing to contemporary klezmer music and a delicious oneg. This is an evening devoted to the entire Rodeph Sholom family - children, teens, adults are welcome. Meet old friends and make new ones as you laugh, dance, and celebrate.

An overture to the High Holy Days. Starting with a short ceremony to mark the end of Shabbat, Selichot is a beautiful way to enter into the High Holy Day season - a great, intimate introduction to the themes, words, and music of the High Holy Days. No RSVP necessary, but please feel free to join us.

OFFSITE - Sacred Bodies: A Healing Immersion for Racial Justice
Join us on Sunday, September 11, at 9:00am at Riis Park for a healing ritual immersion in the ocean inspired by the Jewish tradition of mikveh. CRS is a co-sponsor of this event and Rabbi Spratt will attend.

Elul Learning 5776
Throughout the holy days, we repeat a verse from Psalms, so redolent of this time and experience Pitchu li, sha'arei tzedek-open for me the gates of righteousness, and I will enter them. As the gates open, so does the Book of Life.
The Unetaneh Tokef teaches that all is written in our own hand, but what will we write?
This year, along with the Book of Life, we will open a new Machzor. Join Rabbi Sari Laufer and fellow congregants in an intimate, introspective workshop to introduce you to the new Machzor, and prepare you for these High Holy Days.

One Voice to Save Choice, Rodeph Sholom's reproductive rights committee, is bringing this documentary to our community. TRAPPED follows clinic workers and lawyers fighting to keep abortion safe and legal.

New for 5777:
· All services will be ticketed and your ticket will be scanned at entry. ID must match the name printed on your ticket.
· Young Families Service at 9:15AM and Family Service at 9:00AM will require a separate ticket; an email link to print tickets was sent to families with children ages 0-12 the week of 8/15. Didn't get one? Email Membership at [email protected]
A separate email will be sent to the congregation the week of September 12th with detailed information about the High Holy Days.
