Elul Learning 5776

Throughout the holy days, we repeat a verse from Psalms, so redolent of this time and experience Pitchu li, sha'arei tzedek-open for me the gates of righteousness, and I will enter them. As the gates open, so does the Book of Life.

The Unetaneh Tokef teaches that all is written in our own hand, but what will we write?

This year, along with the Book of Life, we will open a new Machzor. Join Rabbi Sari Laufer and fellow congregants in an intimate, introspective workshop to introduce you to the new Machzor, and prepare you for these High Holy Days.

Film Screening: TRAPPED

One Voice to Save Choice, Rodeph Sholom's reproductive rights committee, is bringing this documentary to our community. TRAPPED follows clinic workers and lawyers fighting to keep abortion safe and legal.

Development
The Yom Kippur Appeal (YKA) is our synagogue's largest source of unrestricted resources aside from membership dues.

Your gift to the YKA makes an impact in so many ways. Philanthropic support from the community means that we can:

* Reaffirm our commitment to providing dues assistance to any family in need even as our membership dues cover only 55% of our operations.

* Increase the hours of the off-duty police officers who protect our building to make sure our security measures meet the test of these uncertain times.

* Create a customized and personalized b'nai mitzvah program for children with special needs to ensure that every child at CRS can experience this most special lifecycle moment with their family and friends.

There is no need to wait until Yom Kippur to make your contribution to the appeal! Click here to make a gift online. For details about automatic recurring payment options, or for any questions, contact the Development Office at 646-454-3052.

Your participation in the appeal is essential to our congregation's strength. We thank you in advance for your gift.
