September 2016
This month we will be celebrating Assisted Living Week from September 11-17.  Our residents will be involved in an assortment of activities from crafts with the Alzheimer's Association and Phinizy Center to animal encounters with SRS Ecology Lab.  This is an exciting week that we are thrilled to take part in each year.  This year's National theme for Assisted Living Week is "Keep Connected".  We hope to reconnect residents to their home towns, their families, their passions and other parts of their individuality.

This year we are excited to kick off Assisted Living Week with a milk and cookies event on Sunday, September 11 which is also Grandparent's Day.  Grandchildren and great-grandchildren are invited to come decorate cookies with their grandparent and enjoy them together with a cold glass of milk.    You should expect an email soon that highlights this event as well as other special activities for the week.
