Membership Dues

DSAG membership dues are $25 per year per family and payable as of September 1, 2016.  As a reminder...the board voted to put this membership fee into place a few years ago due to the fact that a small  group of families were raising the majority of the money at Buddy Walk but yet everyone was benefiting.  Families are required to pay this fee in order to participate in Dollywood, Zoo or any social event offered, apply for recreational scholarships, take advantage of educational programs, etc.  The fee has been set at what is considered a reasonable amount for families.  If  this causes hardship for your family, please contact DSAG. Thank you for supporting DSAG families and programs. Please pay dues by September 30, 2016. Checks can be made payable to DSAG and mailed to PO Box 53575, Knoxville, TN 37950 or paid by card by calling 865.202.8867

Hoops for Hope 2016 had a total of 48 registered players! Thank you to those who participated by playing or cheering the teams on. The funds raised will be used for recreational scholarships for DSAG members. Thank you to David Sexton and family for your help organizing a great event!

DADS meeting

The DADS group will gather for a breakfast meal at the Shoney's Restaurant in Maryville on Saturday morning,  September 10th .  We will meet from  9:00am till 10:15am  at a reserved table.

Applications are due Sept. 16, 2016

The University of Tennessee Knoxville's annual weekend camp for individuals with Down syndrome is held each fall. Come join us as we have a fun-filled weekend  of outdoor learning and adventure. Campers will play games, make crafts, dance, and more.

STEP Training 

STEP stands for Support and Training for  Exceptional P
arents. STEP is an agency that provides classes for parents of children who might need special education or are in special education. Learn about special education laws. Learn about your role in developing an education plan (IEP). Learn to be a partner with the school team.

Mom's Night Out

Knox Extra Cool Moms Facebook page was created for Knoxville area moms of individuals with Ds to share information and social events.

Camp Karns!
Registration deadline is Sept. 24, 2016

The members of Karns church of Christ are planning a very special day just for special kids!  On  October 1st , we will begin signing children in at  9:00  am and activities will be from  9:30-2:30 .  For this day, we will have games, crafts, outdoor activities (weather permitting), a Bible story room full of fun sensory experiences, puppets, songs, and a whole lot of fun!        Click here for more information
