Florida Youth SHINE's Bright Summer
Florida Youth SHINE ( S triving H igh for I ndependence a N d E mpowerment), the youth-run, peer-driven organization that empowers current and former foster youth to become leaders and advocates within their communities, has had a busy summer! In June, this group of outstanding young people held a digital storytelling workshop. In July, the organization came together for its quarterly meeting, with the aim of electing a new board and discussing priority issues concerning youth in care. FFCR was well represented on both occasions.
New Volunteers Complete Citizen Review Panel Training
