Welcome, Newest Eagles!
Welcome, New Eagles
Imagine arriving at a boarding school hundreds, or even thousands, of miles away from your home country. On Sunday, July 31, our newest Eagles did just that! Orientation is reserved just for them, and it occurred one week prior to the start of school. They accomplished important things like checking and moving into their dorms, registering for classes, and academic testing. But, they also enjoyed fun activities with a group of continuing students who returned to campus early. Positive peer relations and empathy go a long way towards smoothing what can be a bumpy transition path.

Praise the Lord for our "older eagles" for welcoming our "new eaglets" to the PPAS "nest!"

Bible Presentation 8.12.16
Most of our students arrive at PPAS knowing little-to-no English. As English immersion and Christian development are core to a PPAS' education, each year we present new students with a bilingual Bible - with their native language in one column, and English parallel to it. Learning a new language is difficult, and we know that God is a "very present help" in challenging times. These Bibles allow students an opportunity to comprehend God's Word in their native tongue, and improve their command of English simultaneously.
While at Pan Am, our young people use these Bibles in the classroom, in worship, and in personal reflection time. A special shout out goes to our donors who give to our school and, amongst other generosities, provide for these Bibles each year.

Did you know that annually over 90% of PPAS students receive scholarship support? This year is unique, however, because an increasing number of students from Mexico require additional financial assistance, due to the devaluation of the Peso. As a result, in late July, we mailed a "Back to School" appeal letter to friends and donors of Pan Am requesting support for our scholarship fund.

If it weren't for generous gifts, these courageous and goal-driven students would likely be unable to complete their education. Won't you join with other faithful donors in supporting our scholarship fund, and ensuring that our young people are able to fulfill their dreams?

Community Splash 8.13.16 What's more refreshing than cooling off on a hot South Texas Saturday afternoon? Not much! On Saturday, August 13, our newly formed student body enjoyed friendly water play at the annual Community Splash. The Campus Ministry Council hosts this event to help all of our teens to become better acquainted, and to begin building the bond that we call the Pan Am family. All of the kids got wet, and laughter abounded. Mission accomplished!
Community Splash Leaders
We give thanks to the awesome student leaders who made this event possible!

Class of 1996 Reunion 7.22.16Alumni from the PPAS Class of 1996 gathered on campus in July to celebrate their 20-year class reunion. Their fun included reminiscing about their years at Pan Am; barbecuing around the pool; touring the campus; and worshiping together in a special service that was led by one of their classmates, Rev. Juan Herrera. Once a PPAS Eagle, always a PPAS Eagle!
