NECU Announces Merger
Northeast Credit Union (NECU) and Ocean Communities Federal Credit Union jointly announced today their intent to merge subject to regulatory and other approvals. The merger of these two organizations will create one of the top credit unions in the Northeast serving approximately 124,000 members. The combined partnership will provide a broader array of financial products, services and technology to Ocean Communities' members and expand Northeast Credit Union's member base.

Welch Joins NEMO
NEMO Equipment, Inc., an award-winning outdoor gear manufacturer, has added Mike Welch as its North American Sales Director. Welch comes to NEMO with extensive outdoor industry sales experience, formerly working with Mountain Hardwear, Mammut, Karhu and Line skis. Welch will be responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with account buyers and managers. He'll also manage the sales force, e-commerce platform and inside dealer and customer service teams.

The Apple Harvest Day 5K Road Race kicks off the Seacoast's premier autumn street festival. The 5K Road Race starts on River Street and ends on Washington Street in downtown Dover. The USATF certified course runs directly through the
Apple Harvest Day
festival site on Washington Street and Central Avenue, and then winds through historic Dover on a rolling course that is suitable for beginner runners and walkers, as well as advanced racers.The first 250 registrants receive a free dry fit t-shirt! For more information about the race,

Mav's Bizier Named Manager of the Year
Ben Bizier refuses to take much - if any - credit in guiding the
Seacoast Mavericks through the best season in program history. Bizier was presented with the Manager of the Year trophy by Futures Collegiate Baseball League commissioner Christopher Hall. Bizier coaches at Broward Community College (Davie, Fla.) during the school year and is in his first season with the Mavericks.

Dermatology and Skin Health announced that they have been selected as a winner of the 2016 Seacoast Media Group's Readers' Choice Award for Best Dermatologist.

Van Rossum Named President & CEO
David Van Rossum has been formally announced as the credit union's President/CEO.
As Chief Administration Officer at
Service Credit Union (Service)
, David Van Rossum operated as a liaison between the credit union and the areas it served, cultivating meaningful relationships throughout the community. When appointed as Interim President/CEO in February, David eagerly and eloquently took on the crucial yet demanding role, overseeing all affairs of the credit union with $2.9 billion in assets, over 50 locations and more than 225,000 members.
