Episcopal Dioceses Respond To Severe Flooding In Louisiana

Episcopal Relief & Development is supporting diocesan leaders along the Gulf Coast to coordinate flood response efforts after heavy rainfall across the region. You can find more information on how to help here. CBS News offers a great look at how many of the things that we donate in times of disaster turn out to be of no use to those in need. In light of this, please help by donating money to ERD for flood victims here so they can buy what they need locally and help support local businesses. The Diocese of Texas and ERD helped St. Francis, Denham Springs get up and running this past Sunday for worship by providing a tent, altar vestments and prayer books. You can see some of the pictures from St. Francis' first worship service after the flood on the Diocese of Louisiana's Facebook page here.
