This past October, the State Bar Council adopted the amendments on pages 14 to 17 to Rule 1.15 of the Rules of Professional Conduct. These amendments are now pending before the North Carolina Supreme Court. If and when the amendments are approved, lawyers must act to ensure their compliance with new requirements.
