Our annual Bright Stars event features famed children's book illustrator Jerry Pinkney.  Jerry is a recipient of the Caldecott Medal as well as 100's of other awards for his work.  He is also a proud to have dyslexia.

Mr. Pinkney will be the keynote speaker at our 65th Anniversary Dinner to be held on Sunday, November 13th.

Tickets for this special event are available now.  Please register early so we can have an accurate count for dinner.  Ticket sales will end on Friday, November 4th.

Venue:  The event will be held at the Rochester International Event Center, 7333 Airport View Drive SW, Rochester, MN

Schedule of Events:

4:30-5:30pm:     Social hour, complimentary wine & soft drinks

5:30-6:30pm:     Seated dinner

6:30-7:30pm:      Program & Keynote speaker, Jerry Pinkney

Attire is business casual.  The event is intended for adults and older teens.

Mayo Clinic and Rochester Scottish Rite Children's Foundation will generously match the first $10,000 in donations made to the Reading Center, to support scholarships and programs.

Single Tickets:     $30

If you are registering more than one person, click add guest and select Single Ticket for each additional guest.

Table of 8:            $200

If you are an individual or business registering for a table, you can (1) enter in the names of your attendees now, (2) call the Reading Center to provide names, or (3) note if you wish to donate a space at your table for a Reading Center student or family who would otherwise be unable to attend.
