Reminder to all juniors:   Registration closes  this Friday  at  11 AM  for the PSAT Test.  
The PSAT test will be held  Wednesday October 19th  starting at  7:40

Past but Pertinent......

Love to take photos of your friend and different school events? Submit your photos to the yearbook staff and your photos (and friends) can be published in the yearbook. E-mail images to  [email protected] . Contact Mrs. Kaiser with questions. 

Are you interested in how the business world works? Or maybe you want a chance to meet new people? Then DECA is the place for you. The first information meet will be on Friday September 23rd. It will be in room 323 at 2:45! So be there and BE EPIC!

Are you interested in spoken word, dance, or social justice? Then Synergy is the group for you! We are a equity leadership group that uses art to explore important student issues and concerns. We will be meeting every Thursday after school, and we will be performing to other schools within the surrounding community. Synergy will also be going on several field trips to college fairs and theatrical performances. Come to an information session after school in room 355 next Thursday, September 29th to see what we're all about!

Tuesday, September 27th is National Voter Registration Day! If you will be 18 years old by November 8th and haven't yet registered to vote, look for the voter registration table in the lunch room on Tuesday during the lunch period. Please bring your driver's license. Participate in our Democracy!

Forest Lake Area Children's Clothing Fund & Mason's Breakfast Fundraiser is taking place this Sunday, September 25.  The event will run from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm at the Forest Lake Masonic Lodge - 119 8th Ave SE in Forest Lake.  The FLA Children's Clothing Fund serves many children in the Forest Lake Area by providing winter coats, hats, boots, etc... for the upcoming winter months. ALL donations given to the Children's Fund at this Sunday's Mason's breakfast event will be MATCHED by the Masons thus allowing your contribution to have TWICE the impact!  Come and enjoy a great breakfast and help keep a child warmer this winter!

Tutoring will officially begin Tuesday, October 11th Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:
Mondays,  2:40:-4:30   Math/Spanish and French
Tuesdays,  2:40-4:30 Social Studies/ Math and Chemistry
Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.

Rally around the Rangers
"Go Rangers!"

Football:  The Rangers football team has an away conference game @ Woodbury High School on Friday, September 23 @ 7 pm. Join us in the stands to cheer on our RANGERS!!! GOOD  all of our players and coaches on Friday night!!  It's a "Pajama Party" night!

Boys Soccer:  After overtime and a game-ending tie on Tuesday for the Varsity Boys soccer team, the boys are eager for their next win. Please join us tonight as they are hosted by the East Ridge Raptors. JV starts at 4:15 at East Ridge High School (Field Gold 27) and Varsity plays at 5PM in the Raptor's Nest Stadium. Go Rangers!

Attention Students- Support your fellow Rangers at our FLHS athletic events.  RANGER NATION PASSES are for sale for $30.  This will get you in to all of the home events for the 2016-17 school year.  This $30 also includes a free Ranger Nation T-Shirt (while supplies last).

Particularly for Parents

The Music Boosters will be having their first meeting of the year next Thursday, 9/22, at 7:30 pm in the Choir Room 545.  We will be introducing new board members, announcing the location of the 2018 Music Trip, and discussing fundraising opportunities.  All music students and their parents are welcome to attend.  Please join us!
