CVVFA Fall Meeting to be Held in Winchester VA
The Fall CVVFA Meeting will be held at the Historical Charley Rouss Fire Company, at the corner of Braddock and Boscowen Streets in Winchester VA on
Sunday October 16, 2016. Committee meetings begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon at noon with meeting to follow.
Battalion Chief JD Orndorff of the Winchester Fire and Rescue Department, will give a talk on Cancer in the Fire Service from a safety officer's perspective. He will review how cancer has impacted the fire service and offer suggestions how leadership can help minimize the risk. This session will cover where the fire service has been, where it needs to go, and some ideas on how to get there.
