Writing a New Chapter
September 2016
"Stacy's" history is one you've heard many times before. The abuse started with her father and continued into her adult relationships. Domestic violence is a cycle that continues until the victim becomes empowered to break it.

When Stacy arrived at Coburn Place just over a year ago, she was completely withdrawn from everyone and everything. For many years, a male had power and control over her. That is history - or HIS story.

But what you haven't heard yet is how you're helping her write a new chapter - HER story. And it's one full of triumphsREAD MORE

Thank you Angie_s List Foundation
The Coburn kids need help from community partners, like The Angie's List Foundation and YOU, to be the best kids they can be.
We've all heard the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child." Well, it's true, and Coburn Place is no exception.

We need the support of our community to make sure the Coburn kids have the skills, environment and tools necessary to help them grow into the best version of themselves they can be . We're grateful that our village consists of so many generous and empathetic members.

We have the added task of helping the kids break the cycle of violence so they will not need our services when they become adults. It's a lofty goal for sure, but when we work together, it's one that is achieved time and time again. Thank you for being a member of the Coburn village, . Together, we are raising great kids.

So many thanks,
  Julia
