Join healthcare professionals, non-profit groups, and other community leaders for a no-cost training of the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral Treatment (SBIRT), an evidence-based practice used to identify, reduce, and prevent problematic use, abuse, and dependence on alcohol and illicit drugs. Funding for this project was made possible by a federal grant from SAMHSA to the Southern Nevada Addictive Disorders Training Project at UNLV-The Lincy Institute.
The SBIRT model is often used as a community-based screening for substance use problems, and other risk behaviors.
CEU's available for social work, psychology, marriage & family therapy, nursing, and addictions counseling.
CME's available for physicians, dentists, and psychiatry.
