Lauren Piazza, RDN
Lauren is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN or RD), a life-long athlete and a current distance runner with a passion for nutrition and teaching people how to use it to better their health, performance and to feel their best.
After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences and Dietetics, she went on to complete her 1200+ hours of Supervised Practice in Pittsburgh, PA. She has had various dietetic experiences working with a full range of clients, from athletes, children, adults and seniors to the malnourished. Some of her most challenging, yet rewarding experiences were in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and group/individual counseling sessions. Now, she is back in Eastern PA, teaming up with Iron Athlete, and ready to take on the sports nutrition world!
Long distance running is Lauren's current athletic pursuit. She is currently in training for half marathons. Her obsession with athletics and fitness started at a young age. Soccer was her main sport for 10+ years. Then in high school, she took up something new: Ice Hockey. While running is the focus of her workouts now, she still enjoys biking, swimming, weight lifting, and any kind of group fitness class to be a well-rounded athlete.
In her down time, Lauren enjoys traveling and hiking, trying new recipes, instagramming her food, and keeping physically fit! She has hiked all over Sedona and the Grand Canyon and her next hopeful vacation destination is to go hiking in Alaska.
