join author, memoirist and life-long meditator Claire Hoffman for a discussion about belief and doubt and the grey area in between them where many of us live. For those of us who have left behind the ideology and faith of our childhood, what comes next? How can we excavate value from the rubble of doubt?
Claire Hoffman is the author of a recent memoir, Greetings From Utopia Park, which chronicles her childhood inside the cloistered Transcendental Meditation community in Iowa. Claire is a journalist who writes for national magazines such as Rolling Stone, and a former staff writer for the Los Angeles Times. She serves on the board of the Columbia Journalism School and ProPublica.
Sept 25: Sonia Vallabh and Eric Minikel: Curing Prion Disease Scientists at the Broad Institute and founders of the Prion Alliance will talk about their personal quest to cure the neuro-degenerative disease Vallabh learned she had in 2011.
