Armada Fair Youth Livestock Sale Committee Meeting - March 23 The next Armada Fair Youth Livestock Sale Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday March 23, 2015 7pm at the Grange Hall. The Committee by-laws have been updated and are scheduled to be approved at that meeting. The proposed by-laws can be viewed on the Armada Fair website. www.armadafair.org. All adults and teens involved in the livestock projects are encouraged to attend. Elections to the Committee will also take place at this meeting. There are some open seats available. - 4-H Fair Superintendents Meeting is April 6, 2015, 6-8:30 p.m.
- 4-H Club Leader Fair Meeting is April 6, 2015, 7-8:30 p.m.
- Fair clean up dates are May 31, 2015 and July 26th, 2015 10 a.m.-noon. Please bring anything you think will help, such as rakes, shovels, gardening tools, etc.
- Entries accepted June 1-June 30. An important reminder to all leaders is that THEY, the leaders, need to take the entire club's forms to the fair office or mail them to the fair office. No children should be dropping off forms. The Fair Office WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ANY MAILED ENTRIES FROM INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN.
- 4-H books will be done in April; leaders can come get their packets.
- Parent armbands at $25 are still available.
- Tagging dates are:
- Swine, Goat, Lamb and Prospect Beef tagging are June 7th from 10am to Noon
- Rabbit and Poultry tagging is July 25th from 10am to Noon.
- The Bill Hahn Memorial Scholarship is available on the web and attached. It is due on April 15th.
MSUE's Road Ballot Proposal Program Rescheduled MSU Extension's March 23 Road Ballot proposal program in Clinton Township has been cancelled and rescheduled for March 30 at the Roseville City Hall Council Chambers from 6-8:15 p.m. Roseville City Hall is located at 29777 Gratiot Ave just south of Common Road (12 � Mile) behind the 39th District Court and the Roseville Police Station. Build Your Future: Choices...Connections...Careers Curriculum Training Learn how to implement this new National 4-H curriculum focusing on career exploration and workforce preparation in your club, school or community group. The "Build Your Future" curriculum helps teens investigate career interests, identify goals, develop employability skills and explore postsecondary education options and sources of funding. Nine engaging chapters provide a fun structure to help teens learn about their choices, make important connections and plan successful, meaningful careers. Who should attend? Thanks to a 4-H Participation Fee Grant, this training is only $30 and includes 1) A full curriculum, both the Facilitator Guide and Career Journal, a $23.95 value; 2) A curriculum toolkit with pre-cut/printed materials and tools needed to implement the curriculum with ease, a $90 value; 3) Refreshments. The Macomb County 2014-15 4-H reenrollment deadline has been extended to April 1. If you haven't done so yet, please enroll/reenroll online at
https://mi.4honline.com. New and returning members now have until Wednesday, April 1, 2015 to enroll and be eligible to show projects under 4-H at the 2015 Armada Fair. Online enrollment instructions are in the
4-H Online Family Guide. Those who need assistance or are without internet access should contact Macomb County MSU Extension at 586-469-6431 or
macomb.4h@macombgov.org.
State 4-H participation fees must be received at the county Extension office for enrollments to be considered complete. Members should only pay the $10 per youth State 4-H participation fee once each year, in the county where their primary club is located. Cash or check payments should be given to your club leader or to the county MSU Extension office.
Administrative leaders, please monitor your club records online to make sure that your members and volunteers are enrolled appropriately. You should have received an email with your club password and instructions. If you didn't get a password, contact Macomb County MSU Extension.

Plant Science on the Road Plant Science On the Road will be held at Macomb County MSU Extension's new Thompson Center location, 11370 Hupp, Warren, from 10 a.m.-noon on May 2, 2015. - Cloverbud activities (5-8 year olds)
