Sherry's Strollers
It's time for NAMIWalks on Sat., Sept. 24 on Belle Isle! Registration begins at 10 a.m.  Co-workers, consumers, families (with or without baby strollers) and friends can join Sherry's Strollers. W e'll walk together as a team to support the National Alliance on Mental Illness' (and NAMI Michigan's) continuing efforts to end stigma and their advocacy for other mental health issues. Join Sherry's Strollers as a walker, a virtual walker or to make a donation. http://www.namiwalks.org/ 

URBAN GARDEN - Saturday, October 29, 10am-1pm
If you like gardening, can you help put our community garden to sleep for the winter? Or you could fire up the grill for the BBQ on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Conner Campus.
 
DAY OF RESTORATION - Saturday, November 5, 2016, 10am-3pm
NEGC's Community & Police Partnership Advocacy (CAPPA), funded by Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority (DWMHA), hosts a resource day at Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries and with many community organizations provides services, health screenings, clothing and a hot meal to Detroit's homeless. We need volunteers prior to the event to assemble hygiene and clothing bags and on the day of the event to distribute them and serve a meal.  Read more...

 

Volunteers are needed to stuff hygiene bags on Wed. evening, Nov. 2 and to assemble clothing bags on Thurs., Nov. 3 and Fri., Nov. 4 at 2900 Conner (all day).

 

ADOPT A CHILD - September 15 - December 12, 2016
We have children waiting for someone like you to make their holiday memorable. Adopt a Child matches individuals, families and businesses with children in need, ages 1 month to 17 years. You can either pick up a wish list or make a donation to purchase gifts for many children at NEGC. And we need volunteers to help on December 12 to wrap presents!  Read more...

NEGC is one of the Metro Detroit organizations that receives donations of new winter coats for children and youth through the Grosse Pointe & Detroit Rotaries and we need help to distribute coats this year!  Read More...
