The second workshop will be exclusively elementary, middle and high school Student Council Advisors. Leading the workshop this year will be Jeff Schutte, seasoned Student Council Advisor and current Activities Coordinator at Woodgrove High School in the Loudoun County Division.
Jeff began his work as an advisor to young leaders over two decades ago when he entered the educational profession in Ohio. Since then, he has worked as a class sponsor, Spirit Club advisor, varsity head coach, and Academic Team instructor among many other roles high school teachers play.
Jeff moved to Virginia a dozen years ago and brought with him his passion for helping light the fire of leadership in today's youth. He has helped his schools win district, regional, and state titles, and was named 2013 VSCA High School Advisor of the Year. This November, he'd love to share his passion for student leadership with you!
Whether you are a new SCA advisor yourself, or an experienced veteran, you're sure to walk away with several new items for your toolbox. From helping craft a SCA Mission Statement to executing a perfect pep rally, the students need to take ownership of every event, and Jeff has some great advice on how to make that happen. Do you need help with organization, marketing, or helping youngsters see the value in recognizing others? This workshop is right up your alley!
Come with your stories and your successes, and leave energized to keep up the great work you're doing already. Don't miss out - register today.
