WELL, I'M SLIM SHADY...

Have you ever lost your mojo?  Your self-confidence?  Your aplomb?  It happened to me a few weeks ago. I was sort of drifting, more emotional than usual (and ask around, that's pretty emotional), just feeling unsure.  This may sound silly to some, but honestly I kind of lost my pluck...

What's up Tuesdays?...exciting changes and new classes! Hear what your instructors have to say...


6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

Because starting your day with a morning session of Yoga, Pilates and toning is a great way to energize the body and mind. So what's the Barefoot Bootcamp about?  Well, that's the fun part! It starts with warm-up then we work through a pre-defined circuit of 8 stations, do Yoga Flow between circuits and finish with a calming Yoga stretch.  Sounds like fun?...See you Tuesdays at 6:30 a.m.!

We are changing back to Gentle Yoga
from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

A Gentle Yoga class in the afternoon can break up your day-in a nice way. It can be energizing if you have spent the first part of your day sitting and want to bring movement to your muscles and joints.  It can also bring a "Moment of Calm" into a busy day.  Join us for an afternoon class, bring a friend or two, have some tea in our lounge and enjoy....



7:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Do you love yoga?  Would you like to? Intro to yoga is a class for everyone who would like to discover (or rediscover) the awesomeness that is yoga. This gentle, informative class is taught at all levels so whether you have never tried yoga before, tried it and weren't sure if it was for you, or are just looking for a different way to approach your practice, this is the class for you! Please join us on Tuesdays at 7:30 to see how yoga can improve your day, and really maybe even your life.

Why do "Yoga for the Unbendy"? Two words: reduce tension! 
 
We love this class because it welcomes anyone who wants to increase the flexibility in their muscles, while easing tension in the body. We work on reducing muscle stiffness and soreness through slow, mindful stretching. No Yoga experience is needed for this class, and anyone including desk jockeys, athletes and seasoned Yoga students alike will benefit! Reducing muscular tension helps to relax us in our daily lives, as well as providing a measure against possible future injury resulting from tight, overworked muscles in the body.

Yoga has a sister practice called Ayurveda. Explore this branch of yoga which provides you with an approach to identifying our unique constitution that is both simple and profoundly practical. Classes will include: A short lecture, a short and very accessible yoga posture sequence that will be adapted to each individual and some inspiring nutrition tips also adapted to each individual. You will leave every class with practical information to realistically integrate in your day-to-day.

KIDS GLOW IN THE DARK YOGA

Beet & Apple Salad

Directions:

Toss 2 thinly sliced apples,  4 thinly sliced celery stalks (with leaves) and 1 minced shallot in a bowl with the juice of 1 lemon. 

Peel 1 beet, then slice into matchsticks and add to the bowl. 

Toss in 1 teaspoon sugar, 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts, 3 tablespoons olive oil, and salt and pepper. 

Let stand 10 minutes, then serve on a bed of sliced endive.
