Prop 65 Clear and Reasonable Warning Regulations - Public Comments
As you recall, we met and worked closely with the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) last year to educate and revise the sections that only provided gas stations with "safe harbor" signage rather than vehicle repair facilities. Based on our meetings and written comments, the regulations now provide vehicle repair facilities with a "safe harbor" if they post the Prop 65 signage (as specified).  The regulations will be operative on August 30, 2018. This will allow for a reasonable transition.  However, in the interim businesses may comply with the regulation. Below is the link to the Prop 65 regulation text.  Prop 65 requires that businesses with 10 or more employees to give a clear and reasonable warning to individuals before knowingly and intentionally exposing them to a chemical listed as know to cause cancer.
