Join DAAD for two webinars this October!

1. Undergraduate and Graduate Funding

DAAD North America will offer a webinar on its scholarship and grant programs for undergrads and graduate students during the 2016-17 academic year. This webinar will also include some tips on how to improve your application. After the presentation, DAAD program officers will be available to answer questions about DAAD funding opportunities and pursuing a degree at a German university.

The webinar will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 pm EDT on Monday, October 5th. All academic backgrounds are welcome. If you are interested in joining us, please register here. Please share this information with your students and encourage them to register. This webinar will be recorded and uploaded to www.daad.org/webinars.

2. Studying Humanities and Social Sciences at Friedrich-Alexander-University

On October 14 at 1:00pm EDT, DAAD will present a webinar on Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU). Special attention will be given to the wide variety of programs in FAU’s Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology. FAU students benefit from close ties to top global companies and research organizations, including Siemens, Audi, Adidas and the Max Planck Society to name a few. They also enjoy the high degree of affordability at FAU; most degree programs don’t charge tuition fees at all.

In the first part of this webinar, Hanni Geist from the DAAD Information Center in San Francisco will talk about funding opportunities to study abroad and to pursue a graduate degree in Germany. Afterward, Dr. Ruth Maloszek, from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, will provide information to students and prospective students who are interested in Humanities, Social Sciences and Theology. She will also present on the natural and cultural significance of the Nürnberg and Erlangen region, where the university is based. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A to allow participants to raise questions and engage in dialog with the speakers. To register and learn more, please click here.
