For the second round, we?re moving the fun to Instagram and Pinterest, where we challenge you to post your DAAD experience in a photo! Check out our Instagram and Pinterest for inspiration, and as always, be sure to use #90yearsDAAD to tag us in your posts. Participants must have a US or Canadian address in order to receive the winning prize.

We are excited to see what comes our way!

Call for Applications: EMGIP ? Bundestag Internship

EMGIP (?migr? Memorial German Internship Program) offers internship opportunities for Canadian and US students in the German parliament, the Bundestag. The internships are two months long and matched as closely as possible with the student?s interests and academic and professional experiences.

Requirements: Applicants should possess outstanding academic records and personal integrity, and should have some knowledge of the German legislative process. Participants should be advanced undergraduate (junior and senior in US/third- or fourth-year in Canada) or Master?s students in fields such as political science, international relations, law, history, economics or German. PhD students are not eligible. Students must be fluent in spoken German and possess excellent writing skills.

Terms of Award: The successful applicant will receive a monthly salary from the German Bundestag. Subsidized health insurance is available through DAAD for a monthly fee. DAAD can help the interns obtain housing in Berlin and make contacts with fellow international interns and German students. Travel expenses are the intern?s responsibility.

The application deadline for internships in 2016 is September 15, 2015. For more information, please visit: www.daad.org/emgip/

Cast your vote for your favorite #MissionResponsible project!

The #MissionResponsible Competition is part of the Alumniportal Deutschland?s focus topic ?initiate.participate.change.?, encouraging people working on social and ecological issues to share their project activities. Out of 48 submissions, jury members Iris Eisbein (Engagement Global), Robin Pass (TU Dortmund) and Robin Spaetling (chariteam) narrowed it down to eight finalists. It wasn?t an easy decision, since every project and every commitment deserves recognition. Now it is time for the wider public to get involved by voting for their favorite project by July 19th!

The three projects with the highest number of votes will receive a project-related prize of 300 Euro. In order to vote, please join the Alumniportal Deutschland and use the ?Like?-buttons on the competition's website.
