RISE worldwide 2016: Host a DAAD-funded Intern!

RISE worldwide allows research groups, laboratories and PhD candidates to host German students in the STEM fields, who gain practical lab experience and exposure to advanced research while refining their intercultural communication skills. DAAD provides participants with a scholarship to help cover living expenses and travel costs.

As a researcher in science and engineering, you will benefit both professionally and personally by receiving assistance with your research projects, strengthening your ties to Germany and extending your knowledge of German culture and higher education. RISE worldwide offers an excellent opportunity to establish academic partnerships with universities in Germany or to strengthen existing transatlantic networks.

For institutions and PhD candidates interested in hosting German students, project offers for 2016 can be submitted from September 1st to October 15th, 2015. Prospective interns will apply between November 1st and December 15th, 2015. Internship dates are flexible, ranging from 6 weeks to 3 months between June and October 2016.
