The Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program

The Robert Bosch Foundation and Cultural Vistas invite US professionals to apply for the 2016-2017 Robert Bosch Foundation Fellowship Program. Bosch Fellows work as consultants in their field of expertise at leading public or private institutions in Germany. In addition, Bosch Fellows participate in professional seminars, where they travel to meet and exchange ideas with key figures across Germany and Europe. Fellows are from the fields of business administration, cultural management (ex. museum, theater, orchestra), journalism, law, non-profit, public policy, and urban planning.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
- High-level work experience in German institutions including the federal government, private corporations, print and broadcast media, law firms and NGOs.
- Travel, seminars and networking events throughout Europe -- fellows meet with key decision-makers in the public and private sectors, gaining an in-depth understanding of current issues facing the European Union and Germany.
- EUR 3,000 monthly stipend and compensation package including health insurance and coverage of transatlantic and program-related travel costs; additional funding is available for families.
- Intensive German language training provided as needed in US and Germany. No German language skills required at time of application.
- Professional networking opportunities with 500 Robert Bosch Fellowship Alumni.

"Brexit, Grexit and the Rest: Europe in Dissolution or Towards post-Crisis Unity?"


On Tuesday, August 25th, at 6:30 p.m., the American Council on Germany will present a DAAD-sponsored discussion at NYU's Deutsches Haus with the founder and director of the European Democracy Lab at the European School of Governance, Dr. Ulrike Guérot, who will speak on “Brexit, Grexit and the Rest: Europe in Dissolution or Towards post-Crisis Unity?”

Dr. Ulrike Guérot is Founder and Director of the “European Democracy Lab” at the European School of Governance, eusg, in Berlin, and a lecturer on European Integration at the European Viadrina University. Dr. Guérot has 20 year experience in the European think tank community and has taught both in Europe and the U.S. Previously she served as Head of the Berlin office of the European Council on Foreign Relations, Head of the European Union Unit at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP), and as senior transatlantic fellow with the German Marshall Fund (GMF).

Scholarships Available for UAS7 Study and Internship Opportunities in Germany – Deadline October 1st, 2015



UAS7 (Seven German Universities of Applied Sciences) invites students who are currently enrolled in Canadian and U.S. colleges to apply for the UAS7 Study Program (SP) or for the UAS7 Internship Program (IP). The next deadline for these programs is October 1st, 2015. Successful applicants will be able to study one semester at one of the UAS7 member universities or receive a short-term placement at one of the university laboratories. Students who are interested in the UAS7 Study and Internship Program (SIP), can submit their applications once a year until February 15th. Applicants to all three program options (SP/IP/SIP) are automatically considered for the UAS7 Travel Scholarship of EUR 1000 to cover transatlantic travel expenses.

Webinar for DAAD Alumni: "Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance"



DAAD Alumni are cordially invited to join a new community on Alumniportal Deutschland that facilitates virtual networking and active knowledge exchange. Following up on the DAAD Alumni meeting in Riga in June, the online community will host a webinar on "Corporate Social Responsibility and Financial Performance." Participants will benefit from expert insight on this topic, as well as the chance to express their opinions and discuss them with other DAAD alumni.
