Call for Applications: Leibniz-DAAD Fellowship Program


Launched in 2011 by the Leibniz Association (Wissenschaftsgemeinschaft Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz) and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), The "Leibniz-DAAD Research Fellowship" offers highly-qualified recent foreign postdocs the opportunity to conduct special research at institutes of the Leibniz Association in Germany.

Terms of the Fellowship
Fellowships can be awarded for 12 months and include:
 a monthly instalment of EUR 2,000,
 a combined health, accident and personal liability insurance in Germany,
 a research allowance of EUR 460 per annum and
 a two-months German language course in Germany (if desired).

Application Requirements
At the time of application (date of signing of the application form) applicants for a Leibniz DAAD
Research Fellowship must neither hold German nationality nor have resided in
Germany for more than six months.
Applicants should
 be able to prove their outstanding academic or research achievements,
 have completed their studies with a PhD or equivalent qualification (no more than
two years should have passed since graduation) and
 have excellent knowledge of English.
Knowledge of German is welcome.

The Bonn Graduate School of Economics (BGSE) offers a structured doctoral program in economics that combines demanding course work with early individual research in a supportive and intellectually demanding environment. Outstanding (top 10%) students holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics or related fields (e.g. mathematics, statistics, business administration, accounting, and finance) are encouraged to apply for admission.
All BGSE activities are conducted in English. Grants are available to basically all BGSE students. All students are provided with adequate office space. Our student body benefits from an excellent faculty and numerous collaborative research activities.

Summer and Fall EPA Internships for Berlin


EPA arranges internship and study opportunities in Europe that promote professional and personal development and enhance intercultural awareness and understanding. With an EPA internship students will gain self-confidence, new skills, valuable work experience and a r�sum� that really stands out.

EPA offers programs in London, Edinburgh, Bonn, Berlin, Brussels or Madrid with internships in a wide range of fields including medical research, health science, business, marketing, politics, psychology, the arts, and more. All EPA internships are academic, non-paying placements for undergraduate students studying at schools in the US and Canada.

As an added incentive, the first student or group of students from a new school will receive a $500 reduction on our program fees.

Call for Nominations: Margherita-von-Brentano-Preis

The prize of Freie Universit�t Berlin is given in recognition of personal endeavor or excellent measures and project work in the areas of women�s advancement or gender studies.
Women of any status group can apply by themselves or be recommended by others.

The prize, worth 15,000 euros, is one of Germany�s largest monetary prizes for the promotion of women.
Applications and suggestions are to be submitted by Monday, March 16, 2015 at the speaker of the Women�s Council, PD Dr. Martha Zapata Galindo, LAI, R�desheimer Str. 54 � 56, 14197 Berlin, Germany.

The prize will be awarded by the president in July 2015 upon recommendation by the Central Women�s Council
