Join Gabriela Montenegro for an Introduction to Essential Oils. She will provide education and insight into the proper use of essential oils, while enhancing your well being. From your mood to your general wellness, Ms. Montenegro will let you know how essential oils can help.

Writing for the Non-Fiction Market 
with Ronald Brown
Sunday, September 18, 1-3pm

Join author and former prosecutor and criminal trial attorney, Ronald Brown, as he presents a lecture specifically aimed at writing for the non-fiction market. Learn tips on narrowing your focus, keeping the reader interested until the end, organizing your research, and more. Come with your interest to learn about writing non-fiction. There will be information and ideas for everyone!

Coloring Books for Adults
Tuesday, September 20, 6-7:30pm

Come to unwind, while expressing your creativity! Adult coloring books offer a variety of designs, often intricate, just waiting to get lost in. Colored pencils, fine tipped markers, and crayons will be available, along with a wide variety of coloring books to choose pages from.

This program is free and no registration needed. Stop by at any point between 6pm and 7:30pm and join the fun.

Join Beacon Poet Laureate Thomas O'Connell for a workshop about how to get your poems published in (online and/or print) literary journals.

Just for Kids
Unity in Our Community
Story/Writing/Art Project
Tuesday, September 13th
4:30-5:30pm
 

Children of all ages (younger children must be accompanied by an adult) are invited to a special after-school event to celebrate unity in our community. There will be stories and songs. Then we will create junior Slam Books that tell about who we are, and share our answers with each other.

This fun event is a precursor to Unity in the Community Day that will be held at the Pete and Toshi Seeger Riverfront Park on Sat., Sep. 24th.
No registration necessary. 
After-school Lego Tech Club
Thursdays, September - May
3:30-5pm

A place for elementary school-age children to work collaboratively or independently to build fantastic Lego creations and tinker with our STEM materials (littleBits, robots, etc.). You can even combine them.

Starting Monday, September 12th

"Vamos a leer juntos"
Join us Monday mornings at 9:45 for an hour of story and song with Lisa Marie. 
September 12th - Nov. 21st. Open to children under 5 with a caregiver. This program is free and no registration is required. Meet in the children's area.

Teen Scene
for Middle School and High School Students
UnPlugged Game Club
Friday, September 16, 3-5pm

Middle and High School students can get together with others who love to play D & D or various card games from Magic to Yugioh. Just bring your cards and we'll provide the tables and snacks! New and classic board games area also available to play.

Beginning in October, Game Club will meet the first Friday of every month.

Anime Afternoon Movie
Friday, September 30, 3-5pm

Love Anime and Manga? Join us for an Anime movie as part of our YA Fridays. This month we are showing The Boy and the Beast, directed by Mamoru Hosoda. Anime Afternoon is open to middle school and high school students. Get all the details about Crunchyroll Anime Club starting in October. Japanese snacks served!
