March with Us at the Pulaski Day Parade

Please march with the Kosciuszko Foundation at the 79th annual Pulaski Day Parade.  Afterwards at ca. 3-4 pm we will warm up at the Kosciuszko Foundation's house with President's bigos and other yummy refreshements.

Sharing Room under a Red-and-White Flag:The Teaching of Polish History as the Teaching of Youth culturea lecture by Professor Christopher Caes 
Professor Christopher Caes of Columbia University's Slavic Department specializes in 20th-century Polish literature, film, and culture, with a particular focus on artistic and cultural perspectives on human identity and behavior under extreme circumstances.

Whisperers by Kuba Kaminski - the photo exhibition

October 7 - 9, 2016 - the Kosciuszko Foundation will host his "Whisperers" exhibition.
Kuba Kaminski, a famous Polish photographer with many prizes in his portfolio, decided to build a story about whisperers in 2012 and his journey continues.
On October 6, 2016 at 6 pm we will have a welcoming reception with Kuba Kaminski.

Name Day Party for Tadeusz Kosciuszko 
 
Imieniny traditionally have been given a greater importance than birthday celebrations in Poland. On Oct 28, 1792, the name's day for Tadeusz, Prince Czartoryski held a party at his palace for Kosciuszko. At this party, the women wore white dresses with black and blue sashes and tied their hair in ponytails with the medal ribbons.

T he Kosciuszko Foundation will host the MultiTrio, a family based Trio:  Ewa Poblocka (mother), Ewa Leszczynska and Maria Leszczynska (daughters).

Kelker photo exhibition
Thursday, Oct. 20 @ 6:00 p.m.  
On the road - American Landscape by Hanna Kelker - a photo exhibition
 
The exhibition ON THE ROAD  displays a collection of Hanna Kelker's photographs of the American landscape and of images painted by light that were taken during her travels around the country.
The exhibition will be available to the public on Oct. 21 - Nov. 12, 2016, Monday - Friday, at 10 am - 5 pm.
This introductory event is open to the public. Seating is limited. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE POLISH FLUID STATION  AT THE NYC MARATHON, Nov. 6, 2016

The Kosciuszko Foundation partners with the Polish and Slavic Federal Credit Union and the Jozef Pilsudski Institute to make the Greenpoint Mile 13 Fluid Station a Polish Station!

At least 100 volunteers are needed to set up the fluid station, fill more than 100,000 cups of water and energy drink and distribute them to over 50,000 thirsty runners!

Registration is open through October 31.
