Join us at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary for a traditional worship service and again at 9.35 in Fellowship Hall for a contemporary worship service.

55th Annual Oak Grove Barbecue: Saturday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
  • Ten tickets have been mailed to each Oak Grove household.
  • You are reminded that if payment of $92.00 is received in the church office by Friday, October 7 , you will receive a free ticket .  
  • Tickets are available in the church office for anyone needing extras or if you did not receive the original mailing.
  • A volunteer sign-up board is available in the portico and each Wednesday at MIDWEEK listing the 350+ jobs that need to be filled.
  • Again this year is the option to sign up on-line through the Oak Grove website.
  • A nursery will be provided for workers on Barbecue day. Please be sure to indicate the time and child's age when you sign up. Make new friends!
  • Opportunities to volunteer include Thursday, Friday, and Saturday jobs.  

 

The fire starts the Friday morning before the Barbecue in the lower parking lot.  Come by and see what 300 hams look like and smell like.  It is a beautiful sight!



 
UMW BAKE SALE
 
Once again we are requesting your baked goods for our annual UMW Bake Sale
which will be held at the Barbecue on Saturday, October 15.  Brownies and cookies should be pre-packaged with 2 or 4 pieces in each bag, depending on the size.  Cakes should be covered with a transparent wrap but not pre-priced.  All baked goods may be dropped off in Fellowship Hall any time after 9:30 a.m. on October 15.  Proceeds support our local missions.  For further information please contact Michele Riedford at 404-271-7273.  Last year we had great participation.

UMW CRAFT SALE  and BAZAAR
   
Our annual Craft Sale will be  October 15 , at the annual UMM Barbecue.  We hope that many of our talented church members are planning ahead and working on crafts which will be sold at our barbecue. All proceeds go to our local missions. Our Needles and Prayers group is already busy working on beautiful knitted items. We welcome all kinds of arts and crafts and appreciate our talented members sharing their beautiful items. We also welcome vintage jewelry, and gift items which are in good condition. The Library Committee hoped to reinstate our Book Sale at this year's BBQ but now must announce that there will be no Book Sale again this year.  Please donate any books you have to other worthwhile causes.  God willing, the Book Sale will return next year!
