LOSHRS Dalhousie Yacht Club: IMPORTANT (and time-sensitive) INFORMATION:
As many already know the public piers at Dalhousie have been 'condemned' for marine vessels to tie up to them and for pedestrian traffic this summer. The Government has since fenced off pedestrian traffic for a length of the piers, as well as removing the bollards and cleats over the whole stretch that comes up to the DYC club house.

Every boater participating in the race will be faced with a choice; Raft, or Pay for docking in the Port Pier Marina (DYC will make any slip available, but can't guarantee anything up front until the event). Make sure you attend the Skipper's Meeting. Read More Here

LOSHRS and UK Sails $4000.00 Great Sail Giveaway Raffle:
To be eligible, you must have registered for the complete LOSHRS series. You have to compete in a minimum of four races. Therefore, if you have only done two races you have to do both Dalhousie races. If you have competed in three races, then you have to compete in one Dalhousie race. To win the raffle you have to be present at the draw on Saturday evening at DYC. If the winner has only competed in three races, a runner up name will be drawn in case the winner does not compete in the last race.

Good luck to all.

2017 Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Guide!:
It's time to start planning the 2017 LOOR Racing Guide. This important document provides sailors - both racers and cruises - with a variety of articles on numerous nautical topics. It's also an excellent advertising vehicle for retailers and service providers in the industry.

It will become available in early 2017 and distributed to major Canadian and U.S. yacht clubs, marinas, chandleries, and at boat shows and regattas throughout the coming year, including through the LOOR booth during the 2017 Toronto International Boat Show.

If your company would be interested in placing an ad in this Guide, contact Kathryn Huse or Brian Townsend at [email protected] .
