Fall is Finally Here!!!
Dear ,

We hope you have enjoyed your first week of September! We spent ours on the water and were blessed with big fish chasing streamers and hitting dry flies!

Fall is finally here and it brings with it angling opportunities that tug at one's soul.  The kind of unforgettable trout takes that keep you warm when reminiscing in the winter as the snow flies. The biggest fish of the year are actively feeding on the surface as well as chasing streamers!  The big fish do this because they want to bulk up as much as possible before winter hits.  During these months you can sell these moster fish a bigger meal like a giant streamer or a big chubby hopper!

Fall is definetly all the guides very favorite time of year to fish. The Fall on both the Big Horn and the North Platte provide dry fly and streamer fishing that is truly some of the best in the world!! Watching these giant fish suck down your hopper or crush your streamer is amazing!  Especially in the lower clear water that Fall brings.  The banks look great and with the drop in water, the river is clear of moss.

So, basically the stage is being set for an amazing Fall. We are seeing hoppers and caddis and using them with great success all over the banks of the North Platte as well as the Big Horn in Thermopolis!  It is now time to put the bobbers away and get busy on dry flies and streamers!!!!  September and October promise to be amazing.  With all of the caddis hatching, hoppers, and 150 miles of WFFGS permitted water to fish, this fall promises to be epic!

Wyoming Fly fishing has access to an amazing amount of blue ribbon water. Fall truly gives you the opportunity to carve out your own little slice of heaven and very rarely see another boat! With huge fish and no crowds,  you can't beat it!

If you have any dates in mind please give us a heads up as soon as you can because Fall dates have been booking up faster then we have ever seen and we don't want you to miss out!!!

Thank you so much for all of you continued support!!  We hope to see you in one of our boats or out on the water very soon.

Best Fishes,

Ryan and Liz Anderson

I'd like start my portion of the newsletter by saying..... My name is Chad and I am a TROUTAHOLIC!!!!

Now that we have that out of the way let me tell you about a little place I know... a little place called Thermopolis. Fall is knocking on the door again and it's time for those big bruiser fish from our beloved "Pig Horn" to come out of their mossy summer retreats and PLAY! With temperatures dropping there are already moss beds calling it quits for the year kicking scuds, sow bugs, and every other insect out to fend for themselves.  With the moss receding its allowing for more nymphing opportunities as well as streamers. When given the chance to throw dries, the Rainey's Ant with a barbed wire midge trailer is my go to in the morning. Afternoon calls for the Amys ant with a Mayhem midge trailer. Any thin profiled streamer has been productive mainly in the early morning (evening has been hit or miss). Nymphs have been productive throughout the day any lulls in bug activity usually make me break out the San Juan worm (claret is my color of choice!)

It has been an incredible year of fishing so far and I know the Fall surely will not disappoint! I hope to see you all out on the water soon!!!!!
