Honoring Ken Burns In 1971, Ken Burns received a Scholastic Award for an essay he wrote while in high school. In 2016, the Scholastic Awards once again recognized Mr. Burns' creative accomplishments by presenting him with the 2016 Alumni Achievement Award. Read more.
