Korean Brush Painting

Mon., Sep. 19th at 4:30PM  
 
Organized by Donghwa Cultural Foundation.
For ages 5 to 11

This class will teach the basic principles of Korean brush painting - including the skill of brush and mixing ink. Students will learn the tranquility of traditional brush painting.   
 
 


Makerspace Mondays

First Monday of the month at 3:30PM   
For all ages

  Beginning October 3rd 

Snap circuits, littleBits, Animation Hue, Silhouette Cameo, and more.
   
 No registration is required 

Chick Hatching Project

For all ages
On Wed., October 12th
    
Meet a hen and rooster and hear a short presentation. Then, watch our friend from Quiver Farm set up the incubator with eggs.

Oct. 17th to Oct. 21st
Chicks will hatch on Monday/Tuesday. Once hatched, the chicks will be moved into the brooder box and stay with us until some time on Friday. ( www.quiverfarm.com )


Drop-in Wednesday Afternoon

First 3 Wednesdays of the month at 3:30 PM
For all ages

Enjoy some crafts and art projects in the Childen's Room.

Quidditch

Saturday, October 1st  at 11:00AM
For ages 5 to 8

Time to get outside and play the wizarding-world's famous game of Quidditch.

Event may have to be canceled in case of inclement weather.

If you can, please bring a pool noodle or broom with you.
   
Pumpkin Decorating

Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00PM
For ages 5 to 11

Decorate pumpkins with the silhouette cameo, sequins,  and other enhancing accessories.

Beginning and fluent readers can make friends with well-behaved certified therapy dogs while practicing their reading and public speaking skills.

Wednesday, October 19th at 6:30PM
For 3rd to 5th graders

Learn to make this delicious dessert. Takes 1 minute in the microwave.
We will also be designing coasters to use with the mugs.
Please bring a microwavable mug preferably 10oz.

We ask parent/guardian to stay to assist.

LITTLE ARTISTS: Watercolor Resist Spider Webs

Fabric Scrap Keychains

For 3rd to 5th graders

Hand sew keychains out of scrap fabric. We ask for only kids with experience with needle and thread to attend.

The Time Warp Trio: Knights of the Kitchen Table
by Jon Scieszka.
Books will be available at the Reference Desk.

For each meetup, we will chat about a fantastical work of fiction. Afterwards, we will create a special project that pertains to the book.

Tiny Tots Storytime

For walkers to 36 months

This storytime includes books, songs, fingerplays, movement, and dance.

This special storytime will include various activities each week such as playdough, a special craft, movement, and dance.
