Morning Chat Time with Administration
All parents especially pre-school and new families to the school are invited to join Mr. Hadden and Rabbi Greenwald for coffee and a chat on Wednesday, September 14 from 8:30-9 AM. This will be an opportunity for parents to have casual conversations with the administration.
Akiva Community Garage Sale Spring 2017   
Akiva Academy will be hosting a community garage sale in Spring 2017. Please start saving your gently used sports equipment and children's items (no clothing/small toys please). All proceeds will go towards Akiva Academy. For more information please contact Caroline Linetsky at [email protected].
Akiva Family BBQ 
Thank you to Mrs. Mashiah for preparing all the food for the Akiva Family BBQ. Everyone had an amazing time and enjoyed the perfect weather and Mr. Hadden's perfectly grilled hot dogs. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the event such a great success. Thank you as well to Mrs. Hanit Jacobs, Enrique,  Morah Corinne and Morah Traci.












Big Plans for Little Kids Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten screening
Students in Pre-K and kindergarten were given screening forms for therapy services from our partner Big Plans for Little Kids. If you would like your child to be screened for services such as speech therapy, occupational therapy and physical therapy, please fill out the form and return it to the office. The screening is free and if your child qualifies for service, it will be provided free of charge by Alberta Education.

Amazing Race
The UJA kick off event will be on September 25 at the JCC. Akiva Academy as one of the beneficiary agencies will be hosting a booth at the event. It is a FREE family event fun for all ages.

Please consider volunteering to help at our booth for a few minutes as well as participating by showing up!



Introducing Zumba® with A&A Fitness
Introducing Zumba® with A&A Fitness at the Akiva Academy Gymnasium!!  Join Andrea Dawe and Andre Duberry for a team-taught high energy Zumba® fitness class!!  No experience necessary - just come ready to dance, let loose, get fit and have FUN!  Fall Session runs Wednesdays Sept. 21 through Dec. 14th (13 classes).  SALE on the Fall Session on NOW: $120 for the session (Price increases to $130 on Sept. 18th).  Drop-in available $15.
