The Hickory Stick Bookshop's Newsletter for Children, Teens, and In-Betweens

Hello, readers!!

September is here and for us at The Hickory Stick Bookshop that means NEW BOOKS. Fall is a huge time for book releases and we are gleefully drowning in all of the new stories on our shelves! Of course, it's also back to school season, so we know that the options can be pretty overwhelming. Don't worry, though, because that's why you have us! We're here to help you figure out which stories to pick up once the homework is done for the night. Below are just some of the books that we think you'll love, but make sure you check our website or stop in and talk to us in person for even more!

Happy reading!

For the Little Ones...
We all know the story of Miss Muffet (you know, that girl who sat on a tuffet eating cottage cheese?) and how she was scared of a spider and ran away. And that's where the story ends. Or is it? Marilyn Singer is back with her witty twists on another classic children's tale and this one certainly does not disappoint!

This. Book. Is. EVERYTHING. It's so cute and so funny and everything about it is just wonderful. All Little Panda wants is a pair of pants, but Big Panda knows that pandas don't wear pants and that's just the way life is.
Yeah.
Right.
