USMS Coaches Clinic Nov. 11-13 - It's not too late to register!
Come join us Nov. 11-13, 2016, in San Mateo, Calif., for an exciting learning and networking experience. This three-day weekend clinic is specifically tailored for Masters coaches and presented by award-winning coaches.   Topics this year include open water, team building, turns, dryland, and, stroke technique. There will also be pool sessions to practice and apply what you learn.

Note: For any coach registered with a Pacific Masters Swimming club and recognized by that club as a coach, Pacific Masters will reimburse up to 80% of the early registration fee. You must be a registered Coach in order to receive reimbursement.  Contact Laura Schuster for reimbursement information.  

Stroke Development Clinic on Sunday, Aug. 28 in Mountain View, CA a huge success. Congrats to the 40 swimmers and 9 coaches who attended.

Swymnut Masters is looking to add to our base of assistant coaches! We primarily have morning workouts but also run a few night and weekend workouts. Coaching Masters is incredibly fun and our team will keep you laughing with their easy going nature. Don't let a lack of coaching experience deter you. Workout of the Week: 
Part 1:
3 Rounds (descend each round) If done correctly you will get faster with each round!
1 x 300 Swim on your Base +15
1 x 200: Swim--Buoy Only on your Base +15
1 x 100: Kick with fins +15
1 x 50: Fly with fins - regroup and start after :30
1950/
1 x 50 easy

Part 2:
4 x 100 on your base - this will feel uncomfortable but hang in there!
4 x 25 on base +5 - this is Active Recovery
4 x 100: Hold best pace possible on +30 (Pace should be faster than first set of 4 x 100)
4 x 25 on base +5  Active Recovery
1 x 100: ez IM Drill - Stretch it out!   
1100/3100 yards or meters total

USMS Coaches Committee
The USMS Coaches Committee exists to educate and support the coaches of masters teams. We have conference calls monthly to help us exchange ideas and work toward our goals. One of which is to improve communication with all our coaches across the U.S. By sharing the minutes of our meetings, we can give you some insights into the projects we are working on and goals we are working toward.
