Go Back to School with HASA

As your children go back to school, so can you. In the past couple months HASA has been working hard to re-vamp our training section for all of our product lines. Do you need a refresher on how to find a patient's documents in ProviderAssist? Do you have questions on how to run a HASAFacts report? Do you have new employees that need training on sending referrals? Self-paced training videos have been updated/added on our website for you and your organization to view whenever you need a quick knowledge check. You can find these videos on the Training portion of our website and also on our YouTube channel.

Increasing our Knowledge to Better San Antonio

This fall, our CEO, Gijs van Oort, and Director of Marketing & Business Development, Kimberly Harris, will be traveling to Scottsdale, Arizona to attend the 2016 Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) Annual Conference. This conference will give them the opportunity to meet with leaders and managers from 50 HIEs across the country and the chance to discuss best practices and participate in an open dialog with many industry leaders. SHIEC is a consortium of statewide, regional and community health information exchanges that allows members to collaborate to improve the quality, coordination, and cost-effectiveness of health care.

Kim Harris is excited "to share our innovations with other HIEs and learn from others' successes and failures. The chance to meet with, and bounce ideas off of these groups, will help us to broaden and perfect the services we offer."

We look forward to gathering knowledge from other HIEs to help us make decisions and continue to improve our community.

HASA Staff Additions
Meet Our New Team

This summer HASA was sad to say goodbye to two wonderful staff members, Donna Maxey and Sidraa Naeem. But, with goodbyes, come hellos to new staff members. We began the summer with the hiring of Andrea Espinosa. Andrea is now our Data Reporting Analyst and came to us through Metropolitan Methodist's Quality department. She is responsible for analyzing valuable data in the database. Shortly after, Robert Harris was hired to serve as our Application Analyst and Implementation Manager. Harris has over 20 years of experience in leadership, healthcare administration, operations management, program management, training, and new technology implementation. In June, Storey Sheriff and Jim Hoag came on board. Sheriff was hired as the Marketing Assistant and is a graduate of the Health Information Technology Certificate Program at The University of Texas. Jim Hoag will serve as our Technical Market Lead for the North Texas region and has over 13 years of experience in healthcare operations and development. We are excited to welcome these new faces and can't wait to see how HASA grows with them.
